Never be afraid of the journey

Never be afraid to do what God has called you to do.  He will supply you with all you need to get the job done.  I started this group a few years ago and feel blessed to help people in this area, encourage, edify.... God has blessed me tremendously in the process.  I am now married and now starting a new business because I don't fear embarking on the journey any more.  I started a new line of athletic wear called Full Armor Apparel... it can be found at www.fullarmorapparel.com  blog in fact inspired me, because it was the revelation that I had to put on the Full Armor of God in order to endure the process.  Don't be afraid of the journey

Calling you to share

I really want to continue this blog.  I have been told it has helped many and the need is great for this type of forum.  I started a group on facebook called Celibacy Chronicles, so you can join me there, but I would also like to ask that if any of you has a testimony to share please contact me and I will post it anonymously for you if you desire.

If you would like to contribute to this blog and be a help to the thousands who have read it, it think it would be great.

I also would like to interview anyone willing, anonymously of course for the book.  This book will talk about the struggle of maintaining abstinence and the journey your either on or have faced in being delivered from some of the demons you face being single.

I look forward to hearing from you.... send me a message

Testimonies of His power and Grace & Mercy

Our testimonies are important.  Our stories are meant to be shared not compared.  Mine is one in millions of it's kind, but this experience molded and shaped my life.  In fact it had a great deal to do with my ability as a single woman to maintain abstinence, dignity, self respect and self worth.  I saw no value in life or myself and gave away the treasure in the earthen vessel.  God however by His grace and Mercy saw fit to restore me, heal me, make me whole.  And so while I once was blind, now I see the value in me.  I am sooooo grateful for what God has done in my life that I can't keep it to myself.  I want the same for you no matter what the issue is.  Healing and restoration is your portion in Christ.  Be blessed family and please share if you think it may help someone.

A closed mouth doesn't get fed

You want to be strong and resilient and resist the cookie and the sausage, but we must pray to not enter into temptation. Never let anyone discourage you from Bible study and prayer. These are the most life-giving, Satan-resistant activities that you can do. Do you ever notice that you will find yourself most attacked in your desire to pray?.. hindered, tired, weary, almost incapable? This causes weakness and it starts by your forgetting to pray or not being disciplined and diligent in prayer. Giving God and occasional honorable mention or head nod or quick acknowledgment is NOT sufficient. So with that said your fruit will manifest based on how much you sow.... if you sow sparingly in prayer, then you shall reap sparingly in results. God didn't fail to answer, you failed to ask. #closedmouthdon'tgetfed.com

Momories

I must extend my apologies for not having been here for a while and I'm sorry for being selfish.  Last year was quite a year and I got married.  Seemingly the end to this journey but in fact just another layer to what God would have me do.  Although I am now no longer single, it does not hinder my understanding and ability to relate to those who are.... because of course I WAS THERE for a very long time.

I can still remember those days... for it was not that long ago that I struggled in my flesh and in my mind and my heart.  IN FACT, I struggled up to the very day I said I DO... and you will too.

I struggled with being IN the relationship and operating in the relationship with the integrity and character I had so worked for and desired... I struggled with my flesh and being close to a man that I now wanted to love and marry, I remember struggling with longing up to the very day I said I do and it's quite normal.  When you know what it feels like to be hugged, touched, kissed and long for that type of affection and interaction you WILL struggle with maintaining your distance.

It is only remembering that the battle is not ours but the Lords that will help you endure.

For me what helped was knowing that for once the relationship was right, well intended, and was leading to marriage rather then just another dead end.... I was so filled with love and joy and peace and reverence for God and what He had done for me that I didn't want to mess it up.

I had come to far to turn back or do things the wrong way.

You all have come so far, even if not perfect and having made a few mistakes along the way to turn around and go back to what you know will only hinder you, block you, hurt you.

Be willing to wait for what God has for you, it's well worth it.

with all my love I share because I care!

Don't be blinded

Ladies keep your cookie in the cookie jar and men keep your sausage to yourself until your married. Why you ask? Because that's the way God wants it. Doesn't sound fair, may not be easy, but God knows better then we know. The soulties you have developed as a result of your inability to control your flesh cause damage your hardly aware of. Every person you lay with, will increase your inability to TRULY connect to the person you are INTENDED to be with. It HINDERS your ability to even see that person. You can't recognize what is intended for you when you are blinded by temporary distractions.

VICTORY

Today I encourage you to reach out to one another in love. Remembering, none of us has arrived. I can remember some pretty painful times as a single woman, struggling with my desires, giving into temptation, being dissapointed in myself feeling I had dissapointed my Lord. I remember going back to sin time and time again, feeling bound, feeling hopeless, worthless. I remember wishing how I could talk to someone who exhibited some understanding rather then condemming me or making me feel guilty or chastising me about sin as though they hadn't done it. It is with compassion, love, understanding & truth that you reach the lost and broken.... that truth not just being the scripture of choice, but the truth about you and your journey. I am a reflection of God's grace & mercey, healing & restorative power and so I reach out to you in understanding. If your struggling with being single, alone, your sexual drive, your self esteem, your selfworth, your ability to control your desires then I understand and am praying for you. I once was lost but now I'm found & I know you too can and will have the VICTORY! TODAY I COMMAND VICTORY IN YOUR LIFE!
